I have VERY VERY little breast milk left, but even still, I am trying to pump two to three times per day. In doing so, I manage to scrounge up between 80 and 100 ml of breast milk to feed PK once a day. I used to find pumping quite inconvenient, since I was often tethered to the couch or the bed by the AC adapter while I pumped. Then, one day, a lightbulb went off in my head. My breast pump can also be powered by batteries...so after I put in a set of rechargeable batteries and since I can attach the pump to my bra, I am officially mobile! Of course now I look like a pumping freak walking around the house. I play with PK, cook, eat, and write blog entries while I pump. This evening, I even opened the front door for the hubby while I was pumping. (I locked him out by putting the latch on the inside - oopsie doodlie!)
PK Land is a blog about my experiences as a parent. It is a follow-up to my pregnancy blog, PK on the Way, which I wrote to document my pregnancy in the hopes of someday sharing it with my daughter. PK is short for "Potential Kid", which the hubby and I used to refer to the child that we might have in the future. We also referred to our unborn child as PK, as we didn't quite have a name picked out for her until she was born. Even though "PK" has an actual name (and her initials are not P.K.), I thought I'd keep up the anonymity (and save her future embarrassment) by continuing to use PK in this blog.
