One of the downsides to bottle-feeding is that you can't just feed EXACTLY when the baby is hungry. You need to make sure you have sterilized bottles and you need to heat up the formula or breastmilk that you're feeding your baby. Not to mention the fact that you need to figure out just how much formula to put in that bottle. With breast-feeding, on the other hand, you just whip out the boob and you're good to go. Assuming that your milk supply is good, junior will feed until he's got his fill.
This afternoon, PK started her hunger wail as I was emptying out the dishwasher. I immediately proceeded to ready her bottle. Unfortunately, these things take time, and PK had no sympathy. She wanted to be fed at that very moment.
Well, when the bottle was finally ready, I realized that PK was fast asleep. I just took advantage of the situation by getting my lunch ready and wolfing it down before she wakes up. Now that my tummy is full of yummy, I'm hoping that I can sneak in a trip to the washroom cuz I really need to pee!!! Let's hope that she doesn't wake up wailing before I get the chance to go!
