The other day, as I was walking home with PK, I looked down at her in amazement. This little person was so chatty, so full of energy, and was growing up way too fast. So I turned to her and said, "PK, can you just be tiny and cute forever?"
To which she replied, "No. I want to grow up so that I can have a baby in my tummy."
A few thoughts:
1. Wow...you are such a girlie girl. At your age, your main goal is to grow up to become a mommy. And at your age, mommy liked playing with He-Man and Voltron, not with baby dolls. And growing up was NOT something I particularly looked forward to or even wanted.
2. How unprogressive. I don't consider myself to be a feminist, but come on. Really? THAT'S why you want to grow up?
3. Please, if you're going to get pregnant when you're older, make sure that you are married (yes, I'm old-fashioned - so sue me) and that you are much much older. Don't give mommy a heart attack at 32.
